Buildproof is a web application which is similar in concept to Pay pal. It houses an online escrow which holds the money for a construction project until it is completed. It ensures a contractor will be paid for his hard work and eases the anxiety a home owner might feel in giving a stranger their money. Especially since the media portrays the contractor as a crook so often it is a good way of differentiating between the few bad apples.

I have worked in and around this industry most of my employable years. I have a great deal of respect for people in construction and I'm sick and tired of hearing people and the media drag them through the mud!!!! It's not fair and it's not right and I think this site is AWESOME for being on the contractor's side. I also really like thecontractorsside.com and I will tell everyone I know!
