Hello and I hope everyone is healthy and busy. Just wanted to warn everyone of a business that is running a scam. I will be contacting the atourney general about these guys. I have been approached by a couple of companies that want to sell me homeowner leads. They show you the lead and if you want to bid the job they sell you the homeowners contact info. I have said no to all these services untill last month. I don't know if I was just in a good mood or if they caught me off guard, but I decided to give it a try. Here is the deal. The company is called Reliable Remodeler. They waive the monthly fee for the first month. After that it cost $40 a month. They only sell the contact info for a given job to 4 people. After that the lead is closed. This is to help keep the contractor from bidding against 50 other contractors. They also guarantee the lead info. If you buy a lead and the people have already gotten a contractor your money gets put on credit and your next lead purchase will come out of that credit. I hope I explained this right. Anyway here is the scam. I bought a lead for $95. The sales man tried real hard to talk me into buying a package of several leads so he could cut me a deal. I told him I just wanted to try the service out and did not want to spend hundreds of dollars right out of the gate. I am glad I did this. Well anyway the lead I bought never returned any of my calls or emails. When I told the salesman about this he told me I could get a replacement lead . He also told me that if I bought more leads I would have a better chance of getting a good contact. Wait a minute did I hear him right? "If I buy more leads I have a better chance of getting a good lead". Ok call me crazy but what is this service ? Are they not supposed to locate good leads and sell them to contractors? Well appearently they ony get leads. They do not screan thier leads. That is the contractors job. I guess they expect me to spend my hard earned money to buy leads from them that in turn are not even good job leads. Anyway I bought another lead with my credit and again I got no return call or email. What is it with people? Why couldn't they drop a courtacy email to let me know my services were not needed? Now I have 2 bad leads. Hours of waisted time. Spent money with nothing to show for it. At this time I asked for my money back. I was told they do not refund money they let you replace the lead. Great I can keep replacing my bad lead with more bad leads. This is where it gets good. While this is going on and as I am arguing about getting my money back, my free month is ending. Now if I want to get a replacement lead I have to pay $40. They think I will pay $40 for the chance to waist more time and effort to weed through thier homeowners list. I can only immagine how pissed I would have been if I had spent more money in the beginning. If I had spent more money I would be forced to pay the monthly fee in hopes of getting good leads to replace the bad. This is a low underhanded business. I wrote to the BBB and it looks like they are not going to do anything. Stay away from these scammers.

Hello everyone. My name is Bill Church and I have a cabinet shop in Amherst NH. My younger Brother Glyn and myself are 3rd generation woodworkers. We do a variety of different things. Glyn builds custom guitars and has a strong background in trim and all parts of site work. I have been shop forman in cabinet shops in Massachusetts, California, Arkansas, and now I have a shop in NH. I have always worked in shops that do unusual projects. I have built everything you can imagine from shop built stairs, kitchen cabinets, theater rooms, basements, and I specialize in curved cabinets. I have made curved bookcases that covered the walls of a round office. One of these cabinets was made to pivot out , revieling a secret room. The owner was 80 yrs old and he could open this bookcase fully loaded with books. In the same room We made a pair of solid 2inch thick oak raised panel curved pocket doors. Thats right curved pocket doors. I have never seen this anywhere and we had to figure out how to make them work smoothly. They do not make a curved track for these doors. Problem solving is what we do. We love a challenge and get a kick out of what we make. I have the tools and the ability to make anything. Although I do have the ability to do very custom projects don't let that scare you away from having us do any number of everyday woodworking jobs. We build to suit and in most cases I can give a custom kitchen for less than you can get a home depot kitchen. I am happy to be a member of this site and feel free to ask me for pointers or info. I am willing to share any knowledge I have. Also if you have any projects that need help give me a call. I am single and my kids have moved out on thier own so travel is not a problem. In this present economy I am doing what everyone else is doing. Looking for work to pay the morgage and getting discouraged at all the wanna be carpenters taking jobs from the talented people with sawdust in thier veins. Good luck to all and I hope the economy gets better for all of us.
Peace and support our troops not the war.
